It seems that a girl with the wonderful name of Lorna Catherine Harrow-Hodginson indulged, if that is the right word, in a 45 minute group sex session.

'So what?' you might think. Problem was this all took place on the verandah of the Occidental Hotel in Christchurch and it was all on view to - well, whoever wanted to watch.

So Lorna Catherine Harrow-Hodginson has pleaded guilty to carrying out an indecent act. Oh and also being in possession of cannabis.

Judge Jane Farish has decided that Lorna Catherine etc. mustn't go to Latimer Square. Must admit that, being a long way from NZ, this doesn't mean a lot to me but there will be a probation report on Devember 17th.

Hang on a minute. Group sex? How come there is no mention of the other people (men?) involved in the incident? Or perhaps they weren't on view ...

Most odd! Surely there isn't one set of rules for the girls and another for the men.

The Name Of The Royal Invoved In The Scandal

That scandal about the British Royal Family, mentioned yesterday, do you now know who the royal person involved is?

I think most people do know but unfortunately I can't tell you here, because of that gagging order. I can though recommend the Radar web site for all sorts of interesting articles.

The story is that two men, Ian Strachen and Sean McGuigan, threatened to release a video which they claimed indicated that a royal individual had engaged in a sex act with an aide. The video is also said to show scenes of cocaine abuse.

Strachen, who has been described as bisexual posts his details on a gay website lives in a £700 a week apartment near Chelsea Harbour in London. He originates from Aberdeen, Scotland. He is known as a party goer and claims to know Princes William and Harry.

I should think that Prince Harry, forever in the tabloids because of his drinking, should keep a low profile until this whole matter blows over. (The royal isn't either Harry or William but is much further down the pile, though still technically in line for the British throne). Sometimes the royals just ask for trouble - but get protected, usually.

Who Is The Royal On The Sex Tapes?

Okay, more on the Royal sex tape scandal.

The two men, who were arrested, are being represented by the lawyer Giovanni Di Stefano and he has released a little info. First he said, "I wish to state that there is no tape of a sex act in existence. What there is in existence are tapes, both audio and visual of an assistant to a member of the royal family boasting of how he received a sex act from this royal family member - whether that act took place I do not know."

So not quite as it all first seemed.

The two men arrested are Ian Strachan, 30, and Sean McGuigan, 40. Strachan is alleged to have claimed that he has links to the royals and has met Prince William and Prince Harry as well as Lord Frederick Windsor and Zara Phillips.

The name of the royal, mentioned on the tapes, is known by the British media but there is a gagging order preventing this being disclosed. So, being in the UK, we have to be careful as to what we write on this blog - unfortunately.

What we can say is that the royal family member is a minor one. This is pretty obvious as the blackmail attempt was 'only' for £50,000 (about $100,000). If this had been, say, one of the Princes the price would have been sky high.

I'm sure some non UK website, forum or blogger will soon reveal the name of the royal member dragged into this scandal.

Royal Family Sex Tape

Of course the full details have been hushed up, but two men have been arrested in London for attempting to blackmail a 'member of the Royal Family' with a sex tape.

This alleged royal sex tape is said to show a member of the British Royal Family being sexually pleasured by a member of staff.

The two men arrested are reported to have demanded £50,000 (about $100,000) not to publicise the video. It is also claimed that drugs were being used on the video.

Scotland Yard detectives set a trap for the men in an undercover operation. The men thought they were showing the video tape to Palace staff but in fact they were members of the police blackmail unit.

Buckingham Palace would not comment on the matter but police confirmed two men aged 30 and 40 have appeared before magistrates accused of blackmail and have been remanded in custody. They will appear in court during December.

Helen Mirren Talks Of Tokophobia

Oscar winning actress, Dame Helen Mirren, has admitted that she suffers from tokophobia - which is the morbid fear of giving birth.

She puts the major blame on this from seeing a graphic film about childbirth when she was a thirteen year old girl. Helen Mirren said, "I swear it traumatised me me to this day. I haven't had children and now I can't look at anything to do with childbirth. It absolutely disgusts me."

Helen also remembers from when she was just three years old and heard her mother describing the 'horrific' birth of her sister.

Tokophobia is why Helen never had children herself.

JK Rowling Tells The Gay Truth About Dumbledore

JK Rowling caused a bit of a stir while talking to fans at the Carnegie Hall in New York. She said that she 'always thought Dumbledore was gay'.

Jo said that Dumbledore fell in love with the wizard Gellert Grindelwald but when Grindelwald turned out to be really interested in the dark arts rather then the good, Dumbledore felt 'terribly let down'. He went on to destroy his rival.

Dumbledore's love for Grindelwald was a 'great tragedy', according to JK Rowling. She went on to say, "Falling in love can blind us to an extent."

Britney Spears Booked For Driving Offences

Wearing a black mini skirt and a leather jacket Britney Spears turned up at a Los Angeles police station yesterday to be photographed and fingerprinted regarding two traffic offences. The police would not release a copy of the mug shot.

Britney Spears was at the police station for about half an hour regarding the traffic offence that took place on August 6th. She is scheduled to appear in Van Nuys Superior Court on October 25th.

As she left the police station Britney said that the officers that dealt with her were 'really nice'. She was then driven away in a Mercedes car.

Nan Goldin's Photo Siezed By British Police

The controversial American photographer, Nan Goldin, has had a photo seized by police which was on display at a British Gallery in Gateshead.

The photo was actually owned by Elton John and was titled 'Klara and Edda Belly-Dancing'. It is said to feature two young girls. The photo was part of over 140 images from Goldin's 'Thanksgiving' exhibition.

A Northumbria police spokesperson confirmed that an image of a child was removed from the exhibition and said it was being looked over by prosecutors 'to assess whether or not an offense had been committed.'

Elton John originally purchased the collection, which has previously been on display at major cities throughout the world, in 1999.

Photos by Nan Goldin are often sexually orientated and have previously drawn police attention. She was born in 1953 and divides her time between London, Paris and New York.

Miley Cyrus supposedly told J014 magazine, "I’m going to take good care of my baby. I’ve already gained 7 pounds. I was in real shock when it happened accidentally. I went a little too far. I’m sorry to all of my fans."

At the present time Miley is keeping quiet as to who the baby's father might be.

Nudity & Drugs Reported At Britney Spears Custody Hearing

The lawyer of a previous bodyguard of Britney Spears, Tony Barretto, has said, "Our client was prepared to testify on issues of nudity by Ms. Spears, drug use, and safety issues involving the children post-rehab."

It seems that Barretto, aged 28, was employed by Britney Spears from the time she left a rehabilitation clinic in March until May 17th.

This is all about the battle between Britney and Kevin Federline over the custody of their children.

Federline's lawyer declined to comment on the hearing but told the media that his client was not seeking more money from Spears.

To add to the intrigue, it has been reported that the FBI was looking into death threats against Federline. An FBI spokesman said that the agency had received 'non-specific and uncorroborated' information which had been passed on to the Los Angeles police.

Los Angeles police have confirmed that they investigated a claim about a contract killing on Federline in June. The claim was never proven.

Best & Worst Dressed Celebrities

People magazine's list of the best and worst dressed celebs is due to be on sale tomorrow. Here's a few of the winners in advance.

The top award of the Best Dressed Celebrity went to Beyonce. She was nicknamed as 'The Showstopper."

The Most Shocking Style Moment went predictably to Britney Spears and that bald moment when she shaved her head.

People's assistant managing editor, Cynthia Sanz said, "Beyonce just looks amazing every time she goes out. She likes to show off her curves and she is very glamorous."

Also in the Top ten were Cameron Diaz, Katie Holmes, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Biel, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Gwen Stefani and Ali Larter.

From a British perspective David Beckham made the men's list and People had a special 'British Accent' section with mentions of Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Lily Allen, Kate Middleton and Emma Watson.

Cynthia Sanz said of the Brits, "It has been a big year for the Brits with a lot of influence coming over here. You can't help but look at what the Beckhams are doing and wearing, but you are not really sure why." Can't argue with that!

Sexy Fliers And Their Sexy Photos

Seems you have to be very careful what you wear on an American airline - if you are a woman that is. You mustn't be a sexy flier!

It started with a girl called Kyla Ebbert. She's an attractive 23 year old.

Kyla said that she was only 'allowed to stay on the flight only after she agreed to pull up her tank top and pull down her skirt.' Erm, by pull down her skirt she means the bottom hem only.

In her 'outrage', she went on the Today program to show what she was wearing. That's her photo on the right.

The story goes ...

Flight attendant says, "I'm sorry, but you're going to have to catch a later flight because you are dressed inappropriately. This is a family airline, and you are too provocative to fly on this flight."

Kyla Ebbert replied, "What part is it? The shirt? the skirt? Which part?"

He said, "The whole thing."

Now another attractive girl, Setara Qassim, has come up with a similar story.

There she was travelling from Las Vegas to Burbank and the flight attendant gave her a blanket to cover herself up with! And to show how Setara Qassim looked, with and without the blanket, we have the photos.

Guess it's a difficult line to decide what is offensive and what isn't but it does all seem to be a fuss about nothing.

Perhaps the airline could provide overalls for all fliers so everyone looks the same ...

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is in the money through her business acumen.

With two friends she set up a party-organising company called Three's A Crowd from a Chelsea flat last year. Incredibly the company is about to float on a stock exchange for £2 million ($4 million). The sale will be on the Plus Market, which is for fledgling enterprises.

Last year Tara Palmer-Tomkinson had to have her nose rebuilt because of cocaine abuse. She now says, "I'm not a party girl any more. I would never be able to take drugs again after my surgery. I wish I'd had my nose done years ago. I now feel a lot more grown up."

Princess Diana's Memorial Service

The memorial service for Princess Diana has been conducted today at the Guards' Chapel. An emotional speech was made by Prince Harry on this the 10th anniversary of her death.

Prince Harry's speech moved listeners and indeed himself virtually to tears.

"When she was alive we completely took for granted her unrivalled love of life, laughter, fun and folly. She was our guardian, friend and protector. She never once allowed her unfaltering love for us to go unspoken or undemonstrated.

"She will always be remembered for her amazing public work. But behind the media glare, to us, just two loving children, she was quite simply the best mother in the world.

"To lose a parent so suddenly at such a young age, as others have experienced, is indescribably shocking and sad. It was an event which changed our lives forever as it must have done for anyone who lost someone that night."

In attendance were 110 members of the Royal Family and a total congregation of 500. The service was relayed to the public outside - sound only.

Floral tributes have again, as at her death, been left by the gates of Princess Diana's former home, Kensington Palace.

More bouquets were left at the tunnel where the fatal incident occurred. A note, written on a portrait of Diana in a jeweled crown, read: "10 years already, Oh how I miss you." It was signed "Monique de Luxembourg."

Damien Hirst's London Gallery, White Cube, have reported that Damien Hirst's diamond and platinum skull creation has been sold for the asking price of $100 million!

The skull, with original teeth, is covered with 8601 diamonds including a large pink diamond, which is worth more than eight million dollars, in the centre of it's forehead.

Hirst has now sold $350 million worth of his works following his June exhibition. He financed the skull himself and reckons it cost about $10-$15 million to produce - still quite a profit!

Miss. South Carolina Teen USA, Lauren Caitlin Upton, may not have won Miss Teen USA but she's the one getting all of the worldwide publicity.

By now her garbled reply to the question as to why one-fifth of American's cannot locate the USA on a map has been seen by millions on YouTube.

However, she is taking it in her stride and answered the same question with much more assurance on the Today show.

This time Miss South Carolina Teen USA said, "I would love to re-answer that question. Well personally, my friends and I, know exactly where the United States is on our map. Beyonce Knowles Flashes

While performing a concert in Toronto the singer Beyonce Knowles had what is known as a 'wardrobe malfunction'. Beyonce seems to keep getting caught on camera like this - it keeps the YouTube fans happy!

In the video Beyonce Knowles is seen doing a sort of jumping dance and as she does so her top lifts up very high illustrating that she wasn't wearing a bra.

Court Decision On Monica Bedi Nude Photos

Monica Bedi was released on bail last month and following this nude photos of her came to light.

India's Supreme Court has banned the media from showing the Monica Bedi nude photos. They were said to have been taken by a hidden camera in the bathroom of the jail where she had been imprisoned.

Her lawyer in court said, "If indeed the photographs were taken by installing a camera in the bathroom of the prison it was a serious invasion of the right of privacy of the petitioner".

The court ruled, "We direct all news channels to immediately stop telecasting the offending news item."

Actress Monica Bedi, born January 18, 1975, was extradited from Portugal along with Mumbai underworld figure Abu Salem in 2005 in a high profile passport forgery case linked to India's worst bomb attacks.

Amy Winehouse Up For MOBO Awards

It has just been announced that Amy Winehouse, despite her health problems, has been nominated for four MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) awards.

Amy Winehouse nominations include best female, R&B act and video. Her top hit Rehab is up for the best single prize.

Hopefully this will give her a boost after having to postpone concert dates in the USA and Canada because of what her management call 'health issues'.

Katie Price Is Stunning!

Kate Price - or is it Katie Price or Jordan - whatever, she has joined the ranks of other celebrities and has launched a perfume. Hers is called Stunning.

Kate Price said she wasn't bothered about the other celebs fragrances and even put the boot in as far as Coleen McLaughlin was concerned.

Kate said, "I don't feel in competition with anyone. The difference between me and Coleen is that my pictures aren't so airbrushed. I look like myself in photos. I don't need anything like that to look good."

Well that's debatable!

Katie Price said about her perfume, "I've always been a big fan of perfume and think it's important for a girl to smell nice, so to finally have a fragrance of my own is amazing, it's taken 14 months to create, as I wanted something floral and feminine but still strong. It smells beautiful and I think a lot of women will love it just like I do!"

The perfume will retail at about £18.

Jordan also took the opportunity to say that rumours about her marriage with Peter Andre being in trouble are untrue. The marriage is okay and she was only without her wedding ring because Peter had locked it in the safe.

Pete Doherty Arrested Yet Again

Earlier this month we wrote Pete Doherty Warned He Could Go To Jail.

So has Pete Doherty taken heed to this? Seems not. Earlier today he was arrested again on suspicion of drugs possession. He was stopped by police in a car in London along with two other people.

All the police would say is, "At 2:30 a.m. officers in Tower Hamlets arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of possessing drugs."

At the time of writing Doherty is still in police custody.

Norway's Princess Maertha Louise has now opened her school at an unspecified location. It appears though that not everyone is in favour of her claims to be able to help people contact their angels.

So strong has been the criticism that one newspaper Bergens Tidande has suggested that Martha Loiuse should renounce her title. A Swedish columnist thought she needed treatment.

Martha Louise defended herself on NRK television. She said, "I'm glad I wasn't born 200 years ago because I would surely have been burned at the stake long ago."

Shawn Klush The Nearest To Elvis Presley

The 'Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist' has been named as Shawn Klush. That's him on the right.

Shawn Klush, from Pittston, Pennsylvania, won the award in Memphis at the first tournament sanctioned by Elvis Presley's estate.

Lindsay Lohan Sued

Further to our post Lindsay Lohan Arrested Yet Again on July 24th, it looks like she's got problems again.

Because of the incident, as explained in the post, a Los Angeles woman has sued Lindsay Lohan, claiming 'her behaviour could have caused injury or death'.

The woman, Tracie Rice, is seeking damages for assault and infliction of emotional distress.

In a statement, via her LA attorney, Tracie Rice said, "What Miss Lohan did that night was extremely dangerous and reprehensible. Someone could easily have been killed or seriously hurt because of her irresponsible decisions."

Shannon Elizabeth Can't Cook

This should get the men watching the UK television programme Hell's Kitchen. Shannon Elizabeth has supposedly been signed up as a contestant.

Shannon Elizabeth was the foreign exchange student in the comedy movie American Pie. She has also appeared in Tomcats and Scary Movie.

She sounds just right for the cookery series because she says, "I just don't cook. I'm a horrible cook because I always try to do it with no oil, no butter, no flavour. Nobody else will ever eat it." Chef Marco Pierre White should be delighted at this news!

The contestants, like Shannon, will compete against each other to see how they can cope running Hell's Kitchen and serving up top dishes to real diners.

Chanelle Hayes, who walked out of the Big brother house, is reported to have passed over the opportunity to become a housemate again. She has told the programme makers that she will be flying out to LA instead so she can 'meet' Victoria Beckham' who she is obsessed with. Chanelle Hayes plans to go to David Beckham's next soccer match which Victoria will also be attending. It's not quite a meeting though, Chanelle.

Tom Cruise is to be in the new Star Trek movie. It is said that he will play the original starship Enterprise captain Pike. Tom is taking the cameo part as a favour to JJ Abrahams who directed him in Mission Impossible 3.

Karry Katona, ex Atomic Kitten, is said to have cheated on her husband with a drug dealer. Leighton Ogden claims he supplied Kerry Katona with drugs. He told the Daily Star, "Although Kerry used to come round to take drugs we only had sex once. And Kerry didn't feel guilty she just wanted to have fun and so did I. We started off kissing and soon Kerry was completely naked and we were having full sex." Despite this Kerry and her husband Mark Croft and said to be going to renew their marriage vows. Let's hope they both stick to them this time.

McDonalds Sued For £10 Million

A while back McDonalds were sued by a 79 year old woman, Stella Liebeck, after she suffered burns from spilling a hot cup of coffee in her lap. That was back in 1992 and she was awarded $2.9 million.

Now it seems the Stella Liebeck case will be overshadowed by a man from Morgantown, Jeromy Jackson, who, along with his mother and a friend, are suing McDonalds for $10 million and all because there was cheese in a hamburger.

'Jeromy Jackson, who is in his early 20s, says he clearly ordered two Quarter Pounders without cheese at the McDonald's restaurant in Star City before heading to Clarksburg.'

Jeromy did this as he didn't want cheese on the hamburgers because he is allergic. He claims there was cheese and subsequently he had to be rushed to hospital and 'was only moments from death'.

'The lawsuit seeks damages on two counts of negligence, one count of intentional infliction of emotional distress and one count of punitive damages.'

There must be a lesson here: If you are severely allergic to something why not check it before stuffing it down your throat.

Aishwarya Rai To Star In The Pink Panther 2

It has been reported that the Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is to star in the upcoming sequel to last years movie, The Pink Panther. Along with Aishwarya will be Steve Martin. Aishwarya Rai will play a detective in the film.

Rai's business manager, Harli Singh, was quoted in the Hindustan Times as saying, "It's true that Aishwarya had signed for the film." He also added that the shooting of the movie, The Pink Panther 2, would commence early September.

Aishwarya Rai is the former 1994 Miss World and has won acting awards in India. She has appeared in over 40 films.

Ms. Rai was born in Mangalore, India on November 1st, 1973. She married Abhishek Bacchan in April of this year.

Chris Tarrant and Ingrid Get Nasty

It's always a shame when relationships break up but when nastiness and revenge follows no one really wins.

It seems that Chris Tarrant and ex wife Ingrid are tearing each other to bits with what they are saying about each other.

First Chris Tarrant said that Ingrid had imposed a seven year sex ban during their marriage.

Ingrid Tarrant was livid at this and said that Chris was a flop in bed. She went into detail: "The biggest reason our sex life slowed down in our last few years was Chris's erectile dysfunction. He has been taking Viagra for about four years to deal with it. But he loved to think he was a legend in his own trouser legs. He would literally jump into bed next to me reeking of carp, beam and pike. I would beg him to at least wash the dried fish blood from his hands."

The reference to the fish was because of Chris's love for angling.

A spokesman for Chris would no respond to what Ingrid has said. He said Chris is only interested in protecting the couple's children - Samantha 18 and Toby 15.

Kate Middleton - The Real Reason She Pulled Out Of The Race

As you have no doubt read Kate Middleton has pulled out of the race as a team member of the Sisterhood crew for the English Channel crossing.

The reason we are led to believe is because she is attracting too much attention of the paparazzi. This could, they say, be dangerous if a flotilla of boats follow the race all snapping away with their cameras.

Would Kate Middleton really pull out for this reason? She seems to like the limelight - when it suits her.

No it's all pressure from the Palace, that's the Queen and her advisers. They are not happy about Kate doing the race as it looks like her relationship with Prince William is back on.

If we aren't careful here we could end up with another Princess Diana situation. Kate knows full well that paparazzi will be at clubs, for example, waiting for her in the early hours of the morning. The problem is you can't pick and choose when you want to be photographed.

It's a pity that Kate Middleton has dropped out of the race. Her appearance generated interest in the charities concerned - but when the Queen speaks ...

Pete Doherty Warned He Could Go To Jail

2 pm. News Just In:
Kate Moss's ex-boyfriend (or is he?), Pete Doherty, has been severely warned that if he doesn't demonstrate that he is trying to get over his drugs habit he could end up in jail next month.

This warning was handed out to Pete Doherty at a London court hearing by district Judge, Davinder Lachlar. His sentencing for several drugs offences has been adjourned for four weeks.

Judge Lachlar stated about possible punishment, "What I have in mind is a community order or prison. If he does not show the motivation in four weeks, it will be prison, it's as simple as that."

Doherty is at present receiving treatment and he has been granted bail until September 4th. He previously pleaded guilty in July to possessing quantities of crack cocaine, heroin, cannabis and ketamine. He had also pleaded guilty to two driving offences.

Madonna In Adoption Problem

It has been reported that Madonna's adoption of David Banda could be in jeopardy.

A Malawi newspaper wrote that that Minister of Women and Child Development, Kate Kainja, had barred Penstone Kilembe from making his planned trip to assess the suitability of Madonna and her husband, film director Guy Ritchie, as the boy's adoptive parents.

Kilembe it seems has not been approved. The Minister said, "We have already contacted Madonna that someone else and not Kilembe will come to asses her, because we feel Mr. Kilembe personalized the whole issue when other people can go."

In response to this Kilembe stated, "What this means is that the whole adoption process may crumble and David sent back to his village."

R Kelly To Go On Trial

From Chicago it has been reported in the last few minutes that R Kelly, the R&B singer, will now go on trial on September 17th on child pornography charges.

The charges relate to happenings of five years ago when it is alleged that R Kelly (real name Robert Kelly) video-taped himself having sex with an under aged girl. Defence attorneys have disputed the girls age and whether Kelly was actually the man on the tape.

R Kelly has pleaded not guilty.

Ingmar Bergman Legendary Director Dies

Ingmar Bergman, the Legendary Swedish self taught film director, has died at the age of 89. He passed away at his home on Faro Island, off the coast of south-east Sweden, in the Baltic Sea where he had lived since the 1960's.

Ingmar Bergman was born on July 14th, 1918 in Uppsala, Sweden, the son of a clergyman. He won three Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film in 1960, 1961 and 1983.

The director was married five times and he fathered nine children including one, Linn, with actress Liv Ullmann.

Bergman made 54 films often based on mortality, loneliness and sexual torment. Well known titles include: Cries and Whispers, Face to Face, Shame, Autumn Sonata (with Ingrid Bergman), The Passion of Anna and Wild Strawberries - the photo was taken during production of this film.

Steve Martin Marries Anne Stringfield

Steve Martin has gone and done it, he's tied the knot with Anne Stringfield at a ceremony yesterday held in his LA home.

Steve is 61 and his catch is 35. This is Anne Stringfield's first try at marriage and Steve's second. He was previously married to Victoria Tennant from 1986 to 1994.

Anne is a writer and former staffer for The New Yorker magazine.

There were about 70 guests, none of whom were supposedly told in advance of the wedding. They thought they were going to a party. Guests included Tom Hanks with Rita Wilson, Eugene Levy, Martin Mull, Diane Keaton and Carl Reiner.
